I believe I came across Rhoderick McDonald in Missouri, who's father was Andrew R McDonald who later Married a Susan. But, I know he had 3 children out of wedlock and the mother of 1 and the mother of 2 when away and I haven't seen them in a census after they left. Andrew was born in the early 1870's and Rhoderick was born in the midlate 1890's whick but's them in the right age groups for your question, but, the problem with this also is in Missouri they didn't keep good birth records from the late 1700's to the very early 1900's. I have several distant relatives that had bunches of kids but there is no listings of them and they all lived in the middle of Missouri. Sorry I don't have more to give you, I wish I did and I hope this gives you a lead that helps.
