Looking for a Ranald or Ronald McDonald/MacDonald, son of Archibald MacDonald and Mary Morrison of North Uist, Scotland. He settled in the Sidney/Sidney Mines area of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia in about 1842. Had a brother named Alexander who married Catherine MacDonald of Blue's Mills, and a sister named Mary who married Peter Madore. All I know is that Ranald was married on 14 September 1847 in Nova Scotia, and his firstborn child was born there on 12 June 1848. Name of wife and child are unknown.
