MacDONALD, JOHN W. "SCOTTY" Aug. 26, 2006, age 85 of Academy Gardens formerly of Lawndale. An engineering officer during WWII in the Merchant Marines, a past Post Commander of American Legion Post #754 and a member of Oldtimers Soccer Hall of Fame. Beloved husband, for 65 years, of Mary M. (nee Hoffman); devoted father of John W. (Mary) and Cheryl Roantree (Lawrence); loving grandfather of five; great grandfather of nine; dear brother of the late Malcolm. Relatives and friends are invited to Viewing Thurs., 9:30 - 11 A.M. JAMES M. CAMPBELL FUNERAL HOME, 500 E. Benner St. (at 6100 N. Rising Sun Ave.) Funeral Service 11 A.M. Interment Lawnview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association, 625 W. Ridge Pike, Suite A100 Conshohocken, PA 19428 would be appreciated by his family.
