MacDonalds of Borrodale

According to the Mabou Pioneers Page 438 & 440 and the History of Inverness County Page 564 my ancestor Roderick MacDonald was of the Borrodale MacDonalds. According to the Mabou Pioneers Roderick had a sister Mary who was the mother of Msgr Wm MacLeod and Father Neil MacLeod.

However in the History of Antigonish Volume 1 Page 56 it states that Mary was of the MacIans of Glencoe.

Can anyone clarify this matter? And provide any additional information.

Mary came to Nova Scotia and first settled in the Parrsboro area where she married Neil MacLeod. Can anyone confirm if Roderick came over to Nova Scotia?

Regards
George
