MACDONALDS OF VALTOS, ISLE OF LEWIS

I am researching the MacDonalds of South Shawbost and Valtos, Uig, Isle of Lewis and interested as to when they arrived in Valtos, Uig, Isle of Lewis prior to 1863 when I know Kenneth MacDonald was born there. His parents were John MacDonald and Margaret MacDonald m.s. Martin. John's parents were Donald MacDonald and Christina MacDonald ms MacArthur born circa 1790. Any help appreciated.
