The census indicates John came to America in 1884 and Uncle Randall in 1860

I am looking for a John Chalmers MacDonald, born in Sept 1866 in Nova Scotia
His father Alexander, brought the family to Providence abt 1884, but died in 1886.
The remaining family remained in the Rhode island/Massachusetts area
Sister, Annie Sarah (Hamilton) is buried in Plymouth MA
Brother Charles Harris lived in Bristol and worked as a carpenter in a shipyard
John is known to have had another full brother, William Sommerville born in Aug 1875 who was living in Providence in 1900. William Sommerville MacDonald registered for the draft in 1917-18 Providence at age 43
John also had an Uncle Ranald (also known as Ronald or Randall) who was born in 1829 in NS
