Alexander MacDonald of Aberdeen

I don't know if our M(a)cDonalds would be related or not but I found an Alexander who would be a sibling to my 4rth Great Greatfather. It seems all of them were from Huntly, Aberdeen, Scotland. Alexander was born in 1787. Not sure who his family was, but father was James MacDonald/McDonald and Elizabeth McWilliams. I found this line in the IGI and what it has of my 3rd great grandftaher, it is pretty close with the years. I'm slowly getting things verified.I am hoping to work with the Huntly Society pretty quick to get all info on my 3rd great grandfather, George McDonald born 1823 in Huntly, Scotland. His parents were John mcDonald born in Huntly also and Mary Brown. George and some siblings were in the Wolfe Island Twp census in Canada, his mother is found buried there, but do not know when or where they left Scotland.
Hoping we can get a match.
