Hi Mary,
Nobel W. McDaniel/McDonald was known by both of these surnames. He was born [per my records] in SC, abt 1845, so 1843 is in the same ballpark.
His father was Levi McDaniel, born 1801, in GA.
Mother was Harriett ?? born SC, 1803 [new possiblity of it being Harriett Jennings, just found this out the last few days, by another cousin, Jim McDonald.]
Nobles brothers and sisters, were:
Stephen L. CSA born 1824
Willis C. born 1828
Elizabeth Haseltine born 1-17-1834
Morning born 1838
Frances Marion born 1839
Telitha Ferbia born 1840
Wiley A.J., CSA born 1843
Ambrolia Adeline born 1849After the war, we lost track of Noble..very glad to meet you!
In the last month, I have found Jim McDonald, descendent of Frances Marion,
Bill Harless and Fran Murphy, descendants of Wiley A.J.
Jim has been online searching and searching and last night he found you...
All of the children were born in SC, and the family can be found in the records of Haywoood county, NC in 1850.
After the CW, they scattered and several left to go to TN. Some went to Gaston and Mecklenburg counties, NC..
Please contact me, I would love to swap information and get to know you. Expect email from Bill, Fran and Jim too!
Be in touch,
Cuz Debbie
