My gggrandfather Joseph Newton MacDonald and family were most likely in NY around that time. Joseph married Adelaide Herbert, and I know for a fact that Adelaide was born and raised in Manhatten, as her parents were in the Metropolitan Opera/orchaestra. Unfortunately, I have had trouble finding anything on Joseph but his name. Any idea where he might fit?
