Hello Scott:

I don't think we are related at all but I actually grew up in St.Andrew's West, Ontario - which is actually part of Cornwall township, which is part of Stormont county. Cornwall township is immediately west of Glengarry County. I'm not aware of any other towns in the area called St.Andrews. The village was actually founded on the eve of St.Andrew's Day in the late 1700's.

The original log schoolhouse has been reconstructed there as a tourist attraction and I've been told contains some old records.

I have come across the following Latter Day Saints microfilm reference for the original cemetery there.

No. 104
Cemetery Name:St. Andrew's West Cemetery (old)
Church affiliation:St. Andrew's West Church
Denomination:Roman Catholic
Location: Con. 5, Lot 12, Highway 138 & 5th Concession, Cornwall Township
Date copied: 1980
Number of markers:52
Number of pages:10 types
Published:GGR Library
OGS Cemetery reference #:685 Y
LDS reel #:1598267 - item #3 on reel
OGS Cemetery microfilm Reference file #:?

I hope this may be of some use to you:
Richard McDonald
