I am decended from Alexander McDonald (born abt 1777) - and Rebecca Forbes of Lower Inveroy. 1800 sees them living in Achnacoichan - they are not listed as tennants so are presumably crofters or farmers. Their children were Ann (my g.g.g.g. grandmother), Sara, Catherine, Donald and John (possibly more). At last I know exactly where Achnacoichan is and have a copy of the Cille Choiril transcription - can do any look-ups if required. Do you think my Alexander is part of your clan? Acc. the locals, we are a cadet family of the Keppoch branch.
