Dear Ron: I am looking for information on my father. He was born in or around 1917, he passed away in 1978. His name was Lt.Col.John MacDonald. He served in the Second World War in the RCAF, or RAF? There was an obituary notice in the Evening Times Globe News paper from Saint John N.B. and this leads me to believe he lived in or around N.B.at the time of his death. My mother met him in 1940-41 before he was shipped oversea's. I don't have much more information other than what she told me before she passed away. I'm not sure if she met him in Fredericton, N.B. or if she knew him from before. I know my mother was residing in Fredericton at the time frame I mentioned.40-41. I tried to retrieve his obituary from the Saint John Library, but they have moved their premises to another location? If you have any information, could you kindly share it with me. There was a John MacDonald as a prison guard in Dorchester N.B.but that's all I know on that info.
