I have very little information on Norman MacASKILL and so I can't say if he is your ancestor or not. I know that he came to Cape Breton circa 1830 with his father Malcolm and brother Neil (my gggrandfather). He left by himself for parts unknown about 1835 and was never heard from again. I don't know his birthdate but his brother was born 1803 on the Isle of Skye. That's all I have on Norman - goodluck with your search.
