Hi Mary This is Licia Dennis's cousin. Our Grandfathers name was Alessandro Macaluso not Abuendo. Someone along the line made a mistake on that spelling. I have a copy of Grandpa's passport. He emigrated to the United States on the U.S.S Florida in November 1906 He left from Naples Port and was born in Lascari, Sicily He married our Grandmother Carmella Sanfillipo April 10, 1915 at Saint Philip Benizi church His Fathers name was Emanuele, I was able to get that from the ship manifest. At Ellis Great Grandfather Emanuele was married to Maria Maggio. And that is as far back as my research has taken me. Grandpa did have brothers and sisters. I know of some of them but there were also siblings in Sicily The ones here were Sam and Tony who was killed I think in 1934 And was probably burried at Mount Carmel cemetery. And then there was Frank who stayed in Sicily. There was a sister too but I have not found out her name yet. I will keep you posted as I find more information.
