Mabry Family Genealogy Forum

Hello again Jane,
That makes sense. Could the Mayetta M. be Mayetta Margaret? I couldn't find if they are related to my line out of South Carolina without some birthdays or at least knowing his father's name. There are so many Mabrys that migrated all over the place. A ton of them ended up in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas. My family came from this group. Since I can't find any Mabry from that group that even got close to Indiana I think your Joseph may have come from a group of the family that originated in Virginia. Most of those families recieved bounty lands for service in the Revolutionary War. Some of this land was in what was known as the "Ohio Territory" and that included Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and parts of several other states. Let me know if I can help any further. God Bless.
