Hi, I recently discovered an obituary for Sarah (Briggs) MAYBEE who died in her 90s in the early 1930s, in upstate NY. The obit. mentions that her MAYBEE husband (no first name given) had been killed at Gettysburg on July 3rd, and had left her with two young sons, again no first names. Does anyone out there have any info. on this family, such as who were the sons, and what happened to them? They are not mentioned as survivors in Sarah's obit., so I would assume they pre-deceased her. Sarah (Briggs) MAYBEE was a sister to one of my gg grandmothers, Maria (Briggs) WESTERVELT. I believe Sarah and Maria Briggs lived in Van Etten, Chemung Co., NY prior to their marriages. Thanks, Renee'
