I think I have found the link I was searching for but I need to prove it. Does anyone have any information on this family? (Mathew & Elizabeth) As far as I can tell, they had 3 children:John Thomas, Sarah and unknown. I know that Mathew died during the civil war and that his wife remarried, but the son- I believe -is my John Thomas Mabe that was married to Dora Ryan. I believe this to be true (looking at census information)- but it doesn't correspond with Jim's information on the Mabe website. Jim, I think I e-mailed you several years ago with my concern about my side of the family perhaps having wrong information listed. I believe you had a Mary Ann Mabe listed as the mother with no father. Have you any documentation on John Thomas Mabe and Mathew Mabe? That's the only generation that I need proof on. I believe there was some further misinformation on current family members i.e. wrong wives, wrong birth dates, etc. How can I get this corrected??
