Jim,

Let me ask this publicly. There is a lot of back channel activity regarding the ancestry of Reuben Mabe of 1850 Hawkins County, TN. As far as anyone can tell, there appears to be no documentation that actually names the wife/wives and/or children of Reuben Mabe. Do you know how the basic genealogy originated. This isn't to say that it is wrong, but there is quite a bit of evidence which suggests that it is more of a confabulation than fact. Any insights about it?
