I have FINALLY found the maiden name of my husband's ggrandmother,she was a Mabe.I am looking for any information on MARTHA MABE born 1880-1883...died 1942..Married WILSON JOHNSON..lived in Hancock amd Hawkins Co.'s in Tn.The family had told me they thought she was a Johnson,thought she was a first cousin to Wilson,Wilson was the son of Levi Johnson Jr. and Milly Pridemore,but I found their son's death cert. and it has his Mother as Martha Mabe.Another question does anyone know of any connection between the Mabe's and the Fletcher's in these counties?Wilson's brother Thomas married Julia Martin daughter of Franklin Martin and Tabitha Fletcher,Tabitha had a brother Zedahiah and was called Zed or Zedden for short Julia Johnson named her son Zed and Martha also named a child Zedden.ANY INFORMATION WILL BE HELPFUL I have just begun reseach today on the Mabe's and know nothing.
