Mary Ellen...
Was hoping you might assist me in the following, or at least point me in the right direction. I am looking for the county and town in Ireland of a James J. Durkin.
He was born about 1882 (deducing from the 1920 & 1930 census), entered the US (Boston port?) in 1898-1900, married Annie Josephine Boyle (she emigrated to MA in 1898) on 9/11/1907 and died in Worcester on July 8, 1942. His parents were a James Durkin and a Honora McVann. His grandparents were a James or Thomas Durkin and a Bridget Walsh.
There is some indication either James J. or Annie Boyle were from Arranmore Island, County Donegal but this is unsubstiantiated.
I have James J's decendants (son was James S. Durkin 12/26/1912 to 4/19/2005) and am trying to help this family identify their Ireland roots. I believe this Durkin Family all lived in Worcester, MA.

Many thanks in advance,

Tom
