I don't believe he is the Michael who died in Westborough 1897. I have access to the MA vitals through NEHGS and I'm assuming that's what you were looking at. I have traced the family this way so far:

1850 Westborough page 383
Michael Saloon 34 Ireland
Ellen 36 Ireland
James 4 MA
Hannah 10 Ireland (later records say Westborough)
Timothy 3 MA
Andrew 2 MA

1860 Westborough pg 409
Michael Sullivan 32 Ireland
Ann 35 Ireland
James 16 MA
Timothy 14 MA
Andrew 11 MA
Mary 7 MA

1870 Westborough pg 284B
Michael Sullivan 46 Ireland
Ann 46 Ireland

They had a few other children that died as infants according to the VR, but of the children above:

Hannah married c1857 Lawrence Finn (I have the record)and after his death she married second to John Boyle (have that record too). They lived in the area of Woburn and Medford, MA. I last find Hannah on the 1900 census of Medford as Anna S. Boyle. I have not been able to find her date of death, death record or obit.

James died in the Civil War 1862- unmarried and no children.

Timothy served in the CW, married Kate Nolan(I have the record), had two children (probably only one surviving). He was still alive in 1920 on the census of Worcester (ward 5 page 6) with his daughter Ella/Ellen. I have his CW pension file.

Andrew served in the CW, married a Masterson (I have the record)and moved to Framingham where he died in 1930. I have his CW pension papers. I have his death record. No obit was found by the librarian in Framingham.

Mary married Harrison F. Brigham in 1871 Westboro. (not sure why she is not with her parents on the 1870 census-possibly whe was working as a domestic somewhere) They had two children and she supposedly died. The son was adopted out to a family in ME. The dau was adopted out at birth in 1876 to a woman in Milford. Harrison died in Brockton 1896. I have the marriage cert. I also have Harrison's death record. I have the census for the son and dau who were adopted out.

Nothing I have found so far gives the maiden name of Ann/Ellen. I'm hoping to someday find what part of Ireland they came from as my daughter wants to make a trip there.

I cannot find Michael & Ellen/Ann after 1870 in Westborough, but all of their children had either died or moved to different cities. I will have to make a trip to the Westborough library to see if they have any info on this family, but for now I'm trying to gather any records I didn't already have (like the church record of the marriage for Timothy or his death rec/obit) I think Michael and Ellen/Ann might have married in Ireland. Could not find their marriage on the MA vitals. It would be before 1840-43 when Hannah/Anna was born.

My dau descends from the dau of Mary J. (Sullivan) Brigham. Her name was Bertha May Brigham, adopted and name changed to Agnes Helena Aldrich.

sorry for the long post.
