Zion Church in the Boston area 1880s
Anders Theodor Andersson, whose parents were from Sweden, was born Aug 18 1887 or 1888 in Boston or nearby. He was baptized at "Zion's n.w. Menighet". Menighet is a Norwegian word that means congregation, so the name seems to translate to Zion Norwegian ---?--- Church. Can anyone tell us which church that might have been, and whether it still exists under another name?I've looked on the ELCA site and there is no Zion Lutheran church in Boston or a suburb. So it may not be Lutheran -- instead it may have been another denomination that Swedes and Norwegians joined. Any clues are appreciated. A grandson in Sweden is looking for information.
