Attention: WILCOTT researchers! Charlotte Wilcott, b 1773-74

Charlotte (b 1773-74 in Vermont, parents unknown) and Hosea Bridges married 06 Jul 1797, Warren, Worcester Co. Mass. Hosea was born abt 1773/74 in Leeds, Yorkshire, Eng, parentage unknown. Family story is they "met in the factories down East" and Charlotte was "of Royalist (Loyalist?) parentage". They are in the 1800 Census, Vermont, Addison Co; 1810 census, Vermont, Rutland Co; 1820 census, Addison co. Between the 1820 and 1830 census, they moved "across the Lake" to New York, Clinton Co where they are on the 1830 census. Hosea died between the 1830 & 1840 census. Charlotte was living with son, Horatio in the 1840 census, in her own household on the 1850 census ("76 yrs") and living with a daughter on the 1860 census ("87 yrs"), all in Clinton Co, NY. She died in 1863. On her tombstone she is listed as "80 yrs" when it should be 90 years. My questions: who are Charlotte's parents? Why is she in Mass? Did her family move to Mass from Vermont? Did she and Hosea decide to move back to Vermont to live near her family? Any information about Charlotte Wilcott and her family will be appreciated.
