Hi Bob, I thought I would give you a name you could work with if you have some free time, maybe if you just concentrate on one thing it will lead to more clues.

I picked Michale Hart, Sadie's brother to get to her -only because she did live with him in the 30's. I did find her with Michael up to about 1939 and then she is gone.

Unless you have a paid subscription for 1930 census you can't get this other than through a browse search.
Even though I got the roll and page number and so forth I tried getting to it by that and it takes you somewhere else, but just in case you are interested in seeing his name if you do a browse search on the census you will get there after scrolling thru about 4 pages or so and then you will see the name Michael Hart.

But that isn't necessary I will just tell you what I have. Maybe having this info you can figure out a way to find out when he might have died. I can not find him on NARA and I don't know why, I know that he was in a soldier's home before living with Sadie.
He was hurt in the war, I was told by a relative, a bomb, I think. And so I am only guessing that Sadie went to Maine to live with him so he could get out of that place and maybe took care of him in an apartment.

I don't have the info saved but I know they lived on pleasant street I think and then it seems he moved to another number on pleasant street and sadie was not with him this was around 1938-40.
Then no sign nothing. and the way I got that info was when I had access to ancestry.com city directory.

One of the great things I noticed on the city directories is that when you are able to follow a person and then something happens like they move to another address or state or get married or even die, it will tell you.
But when michael moved to that other address on Pleasant street and Sadie was not with him nothing was said about her. And he appeared to be living alone and so I wonder if she did die that time period.

So, on the 1930 census for Maine.
Kennebec Maine(in Chelsea Town) National Soldier's Home, Eastern Branch
Company C and he is called an inmate, I guess all hospital patients were. He was single and looks like he had not married up to that point, and he was 35 so that would make him born around 1895.

Now, if you had access to the 1930 census and wanted to get there quick it is T-626 (which is year 1930)
Roll 833 and page 235.

So maybe you could know better than me how to trace him down and I really think if I only knew when and where he died AND assumming he had an obit that it would simply have to say something about Sadie seeing that it was the only family member that had connections with her.

Sandy
