Hi Elaine,
I dont really know what to do next. I know for sure that she died in Helsinki in 2000, I have seen a copy of her death certificate showing that she died there and that someone verified it in the US Consulate in Helsinki.So her record in the USA shows that she died in Finland.
I dont know who verified it, whether it was her husband or a child maybe, I just dont know but I would love to find out. I dont know when she went to Finland for the last time before her death, would those records be somewhere? Is there any place I can phone or email or write to? I am ready to send letters through snail mail if it will help find the answers.
I am even beginning to wonder if her husband's name was Wilbur, it was Pajari though. Elli has always been a mystery for me,I have wanted to find her for years and I was so sad to hear that she only died in 2000. I had been planning to trace her long before that but never made a start with it. :((( I have photos of her as a teenager in the 20's and she was so beautiful.I would have loved to have met her. Her mother and my grandmother were sisters.
