My grandmother's name is Viola Hayden, born in either Quincy or Bedford Mass. in 1889 or 1884. She is the mother of my father Walter Leith Hayden, born on May 17, 1909, at the Talitha Cumi Home in Boston.
My father was adopted by the Campbell family of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, around the age of two.
I am trying to find out anything about my father's family. There is no father's name on his birth certificate. I suspect he may be of American Indian ancestry.
