I'm glad to find another cousin! I am decended from the Dana that was born on 19 June 1781 (his father was Francis). I believe he lived in VT for a good part of his life. I decend from his son Cyrus Manley, his son Manley, his son Manley William, his daughter Ollie, and her son Fred. I assume we're talking about the same Dana? I know our Phelps line has its roots in MA.

I am also curious about your ancestor Silas. I am under the impression that he died under unfortunate circumstances.
