Chris, Thank you for the information. I have also concluded that he was the son of Eliphalet Dean and Linda Mason. My records show Eliphalet Dean was b. C 1771 in Taunton, Bristol, MA. and died Apr 20, 1852 in Marion, Wayne Co., NY. Eliphalet was, in turn, the son of Isaac Dean and Rachel Staples, both of Taunton, MA. Linda Mason was born Aug 8, 1781 in New Ashford, Berkshire, MA to Davide Mason and Mehitable Pratt. Having made that connection, which your data help to support, I was able to reach back even more generations. How neat is that!
