Hi, Patty. We're distant cousins. I, too, can trace my McGaugh line back to William McGaugh, born about 1720 in Ireland, died 1789 in Hickman Station, Davidson County, TN. His son Mathew McGaugh was born 1/11/1774 in Virginia, married Ruth Hill on April 15, 1802, and died May 17, 1858 in Marshall Co., TN. Mathew and Ruth's son, Elliot Hickman McGaugh was born 4/17/182l, married Elizabeth Hill on Oct 14, 1841 in Marhsall Co., TN, and died Jan. 10, 1893 in Benton, Arkansas. I have a list of all of Elliot Hickman McGaugh's children; I am descended from his son John Munroe McGaugh, born Sept. 05, 1845, married Rebecca Haislip Aug. 11, 1866, and died 1923 in Phoenix, AZ. John Munroe McGaugh's son, Dee Layfette McGaugh was born June 20, 1870 in Marshall Co.,TN, married Margaret Elizabeth Moseley on Aug. 27, 1889 in Tarrant Co., TX and died in Riverside, CA on Jan 17, 1946.

I'd like to hear from any descendents of Dee L. McGaugh. I'm stumped on the background of his wife Margaret Moseley.
