According to the "Genealogical History of Launcelot Granger of Newbury, MA and Suffield, CT", by James N. Granger, 1893, Laymar was born Lyman Granger on March 8, 1806 at Blandford, MA. He married Lovina Lyons in 1821. She died May 2, 1882, at Tomkins, NY. In 1893, they lived in Cascade Valley, NY and he was a farmer. Lyman was the son of Benjamin, born at Southwick, MA and died at Monson, MA. He married Rebecca Bunnell. She died at Great Barrington, MA. They lived at Granville and Blandford, MA. They had 6 children:
Clara (Clarissa) m. 1/19/1818 Amasa Gridley
Cecelia m. Bashni Pixley
Orpha m. Erastus Gridley
Lyman m. Lovina Lyon
Benjamin b. May 23, 1809, m. Dency Barlow
I have the Hawley Family Bible which lists the birth & marriage of Laymar Granger and Lovina Lyon. The bible also includes births, deaths & marriages of their children.
I would be interested in finding out more about Lovina, her siblings and parents.
