I am trying to locate any information on Belle Priest. Her first name may have been Cora. She was born about 1875 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of James Priest and Catherine Compton Priest.
Her first marriage, to Elmore Lyons, took place in 1894. He died between 1894 and 1900.
On Nov. 29, 1900, Belle Lyons became the third wife of my great-great grandfather, Ben Huffines. There is at least one mention of her in the Breckenridge News in April, 1904, stating she was visiting with her brothers Virgil and Ollie Priest.
What I want to find out is if her marriage to Ben Huffines was dissolved or if she died. By 1906, Ben has married his fourth wife, Laura Knott, daughter of Raphael Knott and Sarah Haynes. So I placed Belle's date of death as after April 1904.
