W.L. Ledbetter was born in N.C. on the 11th day of March, 1848. He moved to Moulton, Iowa, in 1865, and was united in marriage to Miss Lillie Peek in 1866.
To this union was born six children, two of whom died in infancy.
He was united in marriage to Miss Permelia E. REED in 1878. There were three girls born to this union. Valna Bell Marquess went to rest in 1908. He was again united in marriage to Mrs. Mina Medford in 1918.
His children who are left behind are sons:
William, of Willow Springs, MO.
Luther, of near Lorena, Okla.
Henry, of Latham, Kansas.
Daughters:
Mrs. Mary Davison, of Moulton, Iowa.
Mrs. Jessie Peek, of Eureka.
Mrs. Lillie Carter, of Lone Star.

His only living sister, Mrs. Nancy Wood of Gastonia, NC.
Six children and 22 grandchildren, and 7 great - grand- children, besides his many friends.
He united with the Christian church at Moulton, Iowa in 1885, and his membership was transferred to Eureka in 1919.
He suffered a stroke of paralysis on the morning of May 27th, 1922 and he completed the journey down the western slope of time June 6th 1922 at 4 P.M. He lived more than three score and ten years, being at the time of his death 75 years, 2 months and 25 days.
The pastor, H. O. Pringle, preached the funeral sermon, the text being found in 2nd Timothy 1:12.
The Miller Undertaking Company of Liberal was in charge of the body. He was laid to rest in Nabisco Cemetery.
