Seeking information on John Lyons (general grocer) and his wife Hannah (maiden surname possibly Avendale). The couple were both born in Ireland around 1820 - most probably in Cork or Kerry. Hannah's Christian name sometimes appears as Annie.
They remained in Ireland until at least 1860 but may then have moved to Huntingdonshire, England for a time. After John's death (probably in Ireland), his widow and some of her children emigrated to the US and lived in the New York area. However Hannah died in 1896 at her daughter's home in Jacksonville, Florida.
