My great-great-grandfather Patrick ROBBINS came to Victoria, Australia ~1855.
In 1869 he married Annie Mehegan/Meaghan (from Dublin?) - the marriage certificate says he is from Co. Galway and his parents were Patrick ROBBINS farmer and Margaret nee LYONS.
His death certificate reports his age as 64yo (placing his birth ~1835), born in Galway and his father's occupation as bootmaker and his mother Margaret LYONS. He was buried by a Roman Catholic priest.
Patrick and Annie ROBBINS had a number of children:
Eleanor Mary b.1871
James Nicholas b.1874-5
John Garrett b.1876
Cecily Mary b.1879
Teresa Hannah b.1881
Leo Francis b.1886
If anyone knows of a Patrick and Margaret LYONS in Ireland, who may have had a son Patrick c1835 I'd love to hear from you.
