Do you by any chance have a Cornelius and Annie Lyons in there somewhere? Those were my great-grandparents.My grandfather was born in--if I can remember it correctly--Huntsville, Texas, in Green County, I think. In 1896.According to family tradition, my g-grandparents were born in Ireland around 1860 and emigrated around 1880.But where they disembarked and what happened in those sixteen years is anyone's guess.
I know that Lyne and Lyons are related names (along with Lehane). From what I've read and understood, Lyon, without the S, tends to be more a Scots-Irish name than an Irish Catholic name. But many times the Irish kicked off parts of their names to disguise the fact that they were Irish Catholic.
Genealogy is fun stuff, isn't it?
