I'm looking for any connections or information on John Lyon b. abt. 1831 Glasgow, Lanarks (my 2nd Great Grandfather) and his ancestors.
His father was James Lyon b. 22 Oct 1803 Glasgow, m. Isabella Barr b. abt 1800.
In turn, his father was James Lyon b. 04 Jul 1781 Glasgow, m. Janet Cochran b. abt. 1775.
James was son of Joseph Lyon b. abt 1748 Glasgow, m. Margret Findlay b. 30 Jul 1748 Sorn, Ayr, Scotland.
I am unable to locate birth certificate of Joseph, but am guessing that his father was Joseph Lyon b. 22 Feb 1727 Glasgow, m. Mary Wilson.
Joseph's father was William Lyon b. 31 Jan 1697 Blantyre, Lanark.
