Jerrie--My grandfather, Patrick Lynskey immigrated to the U.S. during l885 allegedly arriving at the port of New York, at the age of l9. I say New York because he was living in New York City at the time of his marriage to Mary Wall. All additional residences were in New York City where he died at the Home for Incurables at 3rd Ave. & l83rd St., the Bronx, on Nov. 22, l935. By the way he had 3 additonal children, Mary, Thomas and John by a second wife named ellen.
I understand the Mormon Library at Mesa, AZ has quite extensive ship arrival records and I intend to check them out when I return from summer vacation, next month.
Isn't that interesting that we both have a Wall as a mate to one of our Lynskeys. Does it mean something or just a coincidence?
I should have included this in my last message about the location of Milltown. It is located on route N17 passing through Tuam from Galway on the way to Milltown.
Keep in touch,
Len T.
