I have traced Israel Lynn and Mary Smith family from Rowan Co. N.C. to Barren Co. Kentucky. Their children are James 1795, Elizabeth 1797, John 1799, Nancy 1801, Mary 1803 and Rebecca 1805. It seems Israel and family moved to Barren Co.
around 1819. James, John and Israel all appear on the 1820 census of Barren Co Kentucky. I think this should prove this is not John "Boss" Lynns father.
