my maiden name was Lyne my father James Lyne was born in Hamilton ON in 1910. His Last name was Saunders and he was adopted as a baby by the Lyne's, who also lived in Hamilton Ontario Canada, they could not have any children. As the story goes......... my dad was a sickly child and his mother and father Saunders were unable to take care of him so my adopted Grandparents said they would take him and raise him. I am not sure if he was officially adopted then or later. He had a brother and sister. I don't know the brothers name but his sister's name was Dorothy who had 2 children who would be my age around 65 or maybe a bit older.
