Well I know a little more.
The father of John Lyne was apparently Richard Lyne.
Sometime after 1851 (perhaps before 1861?) John Lyne immigrated to Ontario, Canada and settled in Hamilton, Wentworth co., where he was a shoemaker and perhaps later a grocer.
He married twice 1st Emily (Turnbull????) and then, as a widower, to Grace Rundle.
With his first wife he had William Henry (m. Elizabeth Maria Eleanor Davis); Helena (M ? Anderson); John; Harry and possibly Frederick.
With Grace he had Jane Park; Sydney Thomas and Mary Bell.
Possibly other children as well...

any bells ringing?

a.
