I am the unofficial park historian for Padre Island National Seashore, a national park in TX, and I am researching early settlers on our island. Does anyone have any information on any Lynes living on Padre Island in Nueces Co. TX around the 1870s? I know of one man named J.T. Lyne and I believe he worked at a meat packery owned by John King and W.N. Staples.
