Chris,
Two of us are looking for a link between the Lyne family and the Gerrans family. We know Gerrans is strictly a Cornish name and Lyne appears as a middle name for William Lyne Gerrans b. 1854. See my post from today. We are trying to see what the Lyne-Gerrans link is. Does Gerrans ring a bell or are you researching people who moved to the U.S. by any chance? It is certainliy the same era you are researching.
