Hi Donna:
I notice on your message posting that you are descended from Benjamin Lynde and Hannah Phipps through their son James Lynde.
I would appreciate learning whatever you know about Benjamin and Hannah, such as dates, geographical locations, etc. Do you have names of any other
of their children?

My interest is this: I am descendend from a John Lynde who, according to census and other data, was born somewhere in Vermont in 1784 or 1785. He went to NY and was married about 1813 to a Mehitable Horton; John served in the war of 1812 from NY State, and by 1815 he and Mehitable were settled into what is now Erie County, NY, and raising a family. We have been exploring the possibility that John was a son of Benjamin and Hannah
(Phipps) Lynde, but have found no documentation.

Perhaps information you have may give me more clues, or even eliminate Benjamin and Hannah as his parents. I would appreciate hearing from you.
