I am trying to locate any available information about the following:
PETER LYND , born ca 1783, died at New Richmond, Quebec, Canada in 1844.
Wife ANN GILKER, daughter of George Gilker, United Empire Loyalist
At the time of his marriage in 1810 Peter Lynd was described as having been born in Jersey, in census returns he is listed as ?born in Ireland?.
Another possible connection: In one of the histories of the United Empire Loyalists of the Gaspè coast we find a DAVID LYND listed with the Loyalists who were requesting land on which to settle in Canada, but to date we haven?t found a connecting link between this David and our Peter Lynd.
Any and all possible help , any information about this LYND family member will be most gratefully received.
