Meg: I am a Ky/Ohio Lynd. My family comes from John P. Lynd, Lawrence Co. O, wife--Betsey Pancake. His great grandson was my grandfther. I can give you the details as I have found them. My greatgrandfather was born 1851 in Law. Co, Ohio. My grandfther born 1973 in the same county. He moved across the Ohio River to Ky. and all our family is the result.
John P. had a brother, Samuel. John P. and Betsey were married in 1846. Perhaps this is your Samuel??
My information came from a Cousin, Mitch, who lives near Columbus. Also I got this from the internet--ancestry.com/ancestry family tree.
