Thank you for info. Sounds correct, however, some mystery remains. I recall an "Uncle Bernie and Uncle Bill" who were brothers to my grandfather, Horace. They lived in east Detroit, Wayne County, MI. I believe Uncle Bernie was married to a Cherokee woman named Amber (Aunt Ambie). She never came out of her house, nor would she use the telephone. I remember visiting her. They had two children that I know of, Bernice and Bo.

My mother said her grandfather (John Lynch) was a very mean man. She called him "Pappy". If John and Sula were buried in Michigan, it could be Forest Lawn Cemetary (Wayne County)where my grandmother (Bessie Harrison-Lynch, Trumble TN) and her daughter (Ruby Lee Lynch-Fisher) are buried.

I am still confused as to why my grandfather told me his mother was Cherokee. Maybe Sula was not his mother. He was born in Wingo, Kentucky, and died in his 90's in Florida (Ellenton/Bradenton).

I am also interested in my grandmother's lineage. Thanks.
