LYNCH family, Kilrush, Co Clare Ireland
Searching for anyone who may be researching LYNCH family from Kilrush, Co Clare, Ireland from 1800's onwards. My gg grandfather John LYNCH joined the HEIC and sailed for Madras, India in 1848 as a Private in the Infantry, joining for 10 years but by 1851 had purchased himself out of the army, had married in 1851 to Paulina THORPE and in 1852 had a daughter Deborah Jane.In 1853 they emigrated to Australia on the William Prowse, his occupation was slater/plasterer.
John's father was Patrick LYNCH but no mother's name shown on any of his army records or records in Australia so I have no idea who his siblings were.I have searched, Tithe, Griffiths & LDS sites but parish records for Kilrush did not survive prior to Dec 1827.Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you, Joan in NSW, Australia
