Lynch Family Genealogy Forum

I have in recent months discovered my direct relation to Charles Lynch and his wife Sarah Clark. But a record of note that I feel I should share is that in previous posts on the forum it is listed that he came to Virginia in 1720 but according to the research I have found that he in fact was brought to America in 1733 on a prison ship and was put to port in Annapolis, MD first. He along with others from the Lynch clan of the Original 13 Tribes from Galway Ireland were imprisoned due to petty larceny and poverty after the reformation and rise to power of Anne II following the death of William III. He like many from the other families were Anglo-Irish and due to religious background sent into obscurity when the English Throne regained power in Ireland. This is about as far as I've gotten. I know that the Lynch name came about around the 13th century by Anglo resurgence there and the names were translated unilatterally. I am interested to know if anyone knows which of the original Gaelic names the Lynch's were derived from prior to the 13th century or if anyone has researched further back into the family tree?
