I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparce B4 1840, rare B4 1800. Without a known county, the chance that your ancestors are in this database is AT LEAST 35%.

For Francis Lynch B 1865 +/- 4 yrs in Fermanagh, I found 1 B rcd. You should check obits to find his parents' names, or an exact DOB. These will help validate the rcd.

B/M/D registration was civil after 1863. Civil rcds are kept by the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland. To contact this office google "PRONI" for copies of B/M certs.

Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
