George W.Lynch's father was George W. Lynch Sr. We know he was living in Jasper Co. Ga. in 1808,when G. W.Lynch was born.We know of another son, James Wesley Lynch, 9-19-1811 - 7-9-1890.G. W. Lynch Sr. may have been married to a Westmoreland, whose family they traveled to Ga. with from N.C.
There is another branch of Lynchs living in Putnam, Jasper Co. at the same time. This family descended from William Lynch of Brunswick Co. Va. who had 34 children. It is odd that 2 branchs of Lynches were living in the same area at this time and not be related. We have tried to make a connection but with no luck.
Our Lynch family moved to Coweta CO. 1ST district near Senoia around 1828 along with the families of J.W. and Robert Westmoreland,J.V. Chappell, John and Isham Moody and others. They organized the County Line Christian Church near Brooks.
George W. Lynch married Eliza E Reynolds, who was born in S.C.1815.
The book Memories Of The Lynch Family is where my info comes from. The books are hard to find. I know copies are at Coweta Co. Genealogical Center in Grantville, and Fayette Co. Historical Society Bldg. in Fayetteville.
